So Sorry

I am going to admit that I have been very slack on my blog here lately. I stay pretty busy and this is not on the top of my list of daily tasks.

It has really been a whirlwind past few days. Um, okay, Saturday I put my hand through a window and slit my wrist. Okay, before you all freak out, it was not a suicide attempt, but rather bad judgement on my part. I am okay though. Rick and I were hanging Christmas wreaths on the 6 windows on our front porth. In order to hang the wreaths I had to push the top window out slightly to slide the wreath's hook onto the bottom window. All was going well until I got to the 4th window. I barely put any pressure on it and it just gave way. My whole arm went through it. When I pulled back to survey the damage my wrist was bleeding terribly. My first thought was that I had sliced my main artery and I was sure to die, but after Rick calmed me down I saw that I had indeed done a number on myself but missed the artery by less than 1 cm. I am a truely blessed person. The bleeding finally stopped and after we had time to calm down and think logically I decided not to get stitches. So I bandaged myself up real good. I had decided if the cuts were not growing back together like they were supposed to then I would have it looked at. They are already much better. I was without a doubt a bit shook up.

I managed to regain my composure that evening and we went to the annual Williamston Christmas Park Lighting Ceremony. My wrist was in really bad pain but Arianna had really been looking foward to going and I couldn't bare to let her down. We all had a great time. You can view the photos of the event here.

Um, let me see.....Oh, we got our Christmas tree yesterday. Arianna was so excited about helping us decorate it. This is the first year she has been able to really be hands on with it. She helped last night until she couldn't keep her little eyes open any longer. We really had a nice family time together. We even had homemade hot cocoa and apple cider. I felt a little bit like a member the Cleaver family.

Well, that's all I have to say about that. I will try my best to post more often.
